Sunday morning. It was AWFUL! That is why I rarely go to church/mass. On Saturday, it's not so bad sometimes. I guess I'm spoiled. As a kid, we NEVER sang in mass and I liked that. Father got his point across with a good sermon and I felt good afterwards. Nowdays, I can't adjust to all the singing. I wish they'd have a mass with no singing and one with singing for the people who like that sort of stuff. Sorry, I had to vent and since it's about religion I put it here.

I love singing good old Christian Hymns. I sing harmony which isn't any fun in a group of one. Not big on going to church. If it was just singing and I didn't have to watch people I know that I think are buttheads press the flesh with a Bible in their free hand I'd go to church more often. OR it probably wouldn't be too difficult to find another good reason not to go if my existing ones were fixed.
I know I'm horrible, but there is joy in honesty.

The lady who attempted to sing Sunday morning thought she was in a d*mn opera. Her voice quivered and she sounded like CHIT!

I used to sing in church choir from the times I was a yungin till young adult on Sunday morn. Sounds like the gal you are talking about was trying to put a little vibrato in it. Some folks can pull it off but most can't. When you can't it sounds baaaad!

I love to sing!

I finally got brave enough to start doing that...posting on youtube as a healing type thing. This is my latest one...I did it for my husband. After all the crap we've been through, I still love him with all my heart. I know that I didn't do this song right b/c I tried to learn it in less than two hours after hearing it for the first time...anyway, thought I'd be brave and share it.

I remember that church. lol Only singing I do now is in the privacy of my tractor while I cut grass. I think the roar of the engine softenes the 'joyful noise' I usually make.

I may have ustacouldhave sung a note or three. Had a few people tell me I could anyway. Would I go out and audition for American Rigged, nope. That show is more about marketability than real ability. My singin is for the outta tune tractor, tall grass, and occasional tree I almost hit. lol

I think our church sings pretty well... We welcome everyone whether they sing well or not! Come and give us a try! We are located behind Commercial State Bank and are open on Sundays!

What about last saturday? I thought the singing at the polka mass at holy family sounded pretty good. Poor crowd for the 530pm mass though.

I do like the Polka Mass at Holy Family when they have them. I don't agree with singing prayers that weren't sung in the past, ie: Our Father, Lamb of God,etc. We never sang those when I was growing up. I got a lot more out of the mass by saying those prayers not singing them. Also it's not a dam# opera, it's church. O well, guess I'm not a very good Catholic.
