Lance Berkman announced yesterday if he did not play well this year, he was going to retire next year. I hope he does play well for the Astros sake. He gets into too many slumps and cant get out of them.

I'd like to see LB have a good year. He was a bust last year. Injuries played a part in why but imo he's not filled the shoes of the guy he replaced. Should he fail to turn in all around and put up some better numbers I see him being trade bait later in the season.

Lance is nursing another injury and he went 0-2 in first spring training game. That isn't what we need to hear about a primary player. Apparently he literally took the off season off, neglecting conditioning to keep self ready to start another grueling 162 game season. I'm hopeful he can rebound and come out gangbusters but I have my doubts??

LB went under the knife last weekend, now is rehabbing leg-knee, likely will miss opening day but from what sports peeps saying on Hou TV, 2010 is make-break season for this first bagger. Either he comes back gangbusters or after All Star Game he's probably going to be trade bait. No matter how we feel about it, Astros to DMcClane is business not a sports venue which splains why he'd be happy to sell the team or trade LB to turn a buck.
