According to news reports, the NY Yankees are doing their best to help the economy by making some 2o baseball players the richest men in the world. Some 400 million spread out this year alone. Wow!
I now have the answer for our nation's economic woes - let baseball bail out the banks, mortgage companies and car makers themselves. They seem to have more money than God himself.
In my humble opinion - something is wrong with the world today.

It doesnt mean that they will win the world series but you have to give Steinbrenner credit he tries to win every chance he gets and you cannot say that about many franchises thats why they are always treading water at the bottom of their prospective divisions. I wish these Houston teams would pay closer attention to him and maybe a championship attitude might rub off on them!

They might have to enlarge the dressing room to fit all those oversized egos. What happens when they lose a few and can't find some underpaid peon to blame?
