Some of our tomatoes are turning black on the bottom. I have never had this happen before. Anybody have any ideas on what's happening to my tomatoes?

I found the answer all by myself. I was going to delete my post but I thought if anyone else was having this problem it would be best to leave it. Here is what I found.
This is thought to be caused by insufficient calcium. However, don't rush out to by a calcium supplement for your soil. This calcium deficiency is probably caused by irregular watering and a fluctuation in water levels. Water carries calcium throughout the tomato plant. Without enough water, the calcium, which is being used first for foliage growth, doesn't make its way to the fruits. Other factors may include: too much nitrogen fertilizer, too much salt in the soil, root damage and a soil pH that is too high or too far below the optimum 6.5.
There's no saving the rotting fruits. Remove the affected fruits, make sure the plants are getting at least and inch of water per week, correct any other problems, mulch under the plants and you should see improvement.

without even reading the other posts or links i can honestly tell you, you have what they call Blossom End Rot, its a calcium deficiency.. you can buy some stuff at the feed store to prevent that.. and mix with water and spray the plants.. I've dealt with it for a few years.. and it works. i have the sprayer.. I'll hook ya up and help ya... next year before you plant and while your tilling....... dump some lime in the ground and then till.. lime contains calcium...

It's all good. ;D google is a wonderful tool to have ha humbug?. if not your friends? i still got the sprayer and probably some stuff still left if ya still need it.. i get that problem every year on mine its not as bad as the past years, but redneckgirls hubby told me my problem years ago and i learned quick how to fix it by his knowledge.. you can save all your eggshells and also put them in the ground for calcium as well as tilling some lime before you plant.. its helped mine alot ( read that in one of my books).. my problem started a lot later this year due to lack of water in the garden with no rain... although i do water them.. but natural rain is way better than watering.. its just not coming this year is all... they do have miracle grow for mators. that helps better than the regular miracle grow..

I think it's more of a "ask a local" sort of thing and see what their reactions are. I'm sure they can search for the answer, but it's wonderful to have great local folks tell their experiences, as well! ;D i love u guys and gals! haha

If you start talking like a human being and giving nothing but intelligent and fun conversations, I don't see the problem. You have picked at all of us though in the past few days. What do you expect? You've went from funny and pleasant to immature, rude, and idiotic, as well as agressive. Again, what do you expect?
We can all get along, no problem with that, but do not attack those who have been here!

Do not attack those who have been here only a little while too. You started picking on me when I began posting. Send me PM accusing me of being somebody else. I had to go back & read all that went on b4 I started posting. It was very instructive & showed jest who buddied up with who in a gang & how they wood gangbang on that person in unison or 1 by 1. You all made life miserable for that guy. I felt for him since you all was doing the same at me all this and most of last week too. I am not the sharpest pencil in the box & not a empty book neither. I am as smart as I have to be or as dumb as I got to be to fit in since I am an outsider. Don't mean to upset any body or rock there boat, specially the regulars & founding members. Have other forums go 2 and this like most of them. Once they get set in there ways wich usually is w/ in 2 years of inception, it is automatic for them to become clanish & turn up noses at newcomers or ignore them in hopes they jest go away. My 99 yr old mama didnt raise no fool & Im not bout to intentionally get crossways with any of you big chickens and roosters in this barnyard. My hope is ppl here will give me the same respect as I give them. I dont want to have to revisit this issue again, so if U wood pass it on, we all can move on. I said hours ago let it be.... but you continue.. you blew your first wad in this thead when you posted somone could have answered your question by y'all ran him off... i havent said a foul word to you then you start in on me... so just drop it and get over it, if you're not geezer then its not your fight to fight and leave everyone alone and lets get back to posting like we have been before you starting in on us... and yes us...

I sent you a PM asking...
ME: "Are you the former ogeezer?"
You replied "No, I am not from what you call the dark side either".
I replied: "Are you a regular on the forum under another name?"
You replied: "no. i found this website by accident in February while winging thru all the proboards.com sites. visited, liked atmosphere, nothing more. being who am this all i will disclose. your welcome."
Where did I accuse you, DB?
