When I saw the Leader News this morning and a comment in the article about the little league park and the fields - I was shocked. Basically and substantially a lie! If you call a new home construction substantially complete when the slab is poured - then we have no problem but it won't wash. What's worse is that the CDC and Rotary and the School district are all now committing their share of the 3.2 million cost. Does anyone else care about these lies or as one person told me - just fudging a little.
Remember folks, we voted to not have this be a burden on the taxpayer but our officials have circumvented the wishes of the people and continued to spend our tax money. When you take from the school funds, the CDC funds and any government money - it is taxpayer money.
That park does not qualify for "substantially complete" matching funds and when the lawsuit is filed - it will take more taxpayer money to defend the "lies."

Rumor has it someone wrote a letter to the editor, with some interesting information. The paper refused to print it. It is said the ballpark is being built on an old air strip and there are barrels of DDT buried there. This someone said to look at the layout and you can see what part they avoided.
