NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY...
A STRONG COLD FRONT AND UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL COMBINE WITH
PLENTIFUL MOISTURE TO BRING MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL TO SOUTH TEXAS. THE FRONT WILL MOVE INTO NORTHERN AREAS
AROUND MIDNIGHT SUNDAY NIGHT...THEN THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF SOUTH
TEXAS BY SUNRISE MONDAY MORNING. SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM AHEAD AND ALONG THE BOUNDARY.
AREAS OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE BEHIND THE FRONT ON MONDAY. A STRONG
UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL APPROACH SOUTH TEXAS MONDAY NIGHT...AND MOVE
THROUGH THE AREA BY TUESDAY NIGHT...BRINGING ADDITIONAL AND MORE
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL TO THE REGION...ESPECIALLY LATE MONDAY NIGHT
AND TUESDAY WHEN RAINFALL COULD BE HEAVIER AT TIMES.
RAINFALL TOTALS SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT WILL AVERAGE
FROM AROUND 1 INCH OVER THE RIO GRAND PLAINS AND BRUSH
COUNTRY...TO AROUND 3 INCHES OVER THE VICTORIA AREA AND
NORTHEASTERN COASTAL BEND. LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS OF UP TO 5
INCHES ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY OVER THE NORTHEASTERN COASTAL REGIONS
NEAR AND NORTH OF ROCKPORT.
SINCE MOST OF THE RAINFALL MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY WILL NOT BE
CONVECTIVE IN NATURE...BUT WILL OCCUR OVER SEVERAL HOURS WITH
RAINFALL RATES GENERALLY LESS THAN ONE INCH PER HOUR...WIDESPREAD
SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED. STILL...PERSISTENT RAINFALL
WILL LIKELY RESULT IN MINOR NUISANCE FLOODING...WHERE PONDING OF
ROADS AND STREETS WILL OCCUR AND DITCHES WILL GRADUALLY FILL.

RUNNING ABOVE NORMAL...ALL OF THIS RAIN COULD RESULT IN THE RIVER
AND CREEK REACHING MINOR FLOOD STAGE BY MID WEEK. RESIDENTS NEAR
