Any pointers on morning/day/night sickness for me. I recently found out we're expecting. Today was my first bad day with the hurling and I was emotional for no reason. This isn't all it's cracked up to be lol.

Don't worry... it'll get better eventually... At least that's what I've heard... Both my kids are in their 20's and I'm still waiting....

Congratulations, easydoesit!!
For morning sickness...try not to get out of bed real fast, take it slow. Eating crackers helps also. I really didn't have much morning sickness, thank God. But, I made up for it with the emotional side...lol! I'd burst into tears for no reason. It will get better!

First Congratulations. My daughter is pregnant too. Try eating small meals or nutritous snack throughout the day.

with my first one I was so sick I was hospitalized with dehydration, so please be careful and keep hydrated as much as possible. even when you feel nauseated, try to get down and keep down at least a little of something. if you can find something that you can tolerate, eat it! even if you eat it everyday, eat it! another thing that I didn't realize, be sure and brush your teeth after you are sick, I was actually so sick for so long that the stomach acid affected my teeth, similar to what happens to bulemics.... but you can tell from my backside that I'm NOT bulemic!!! The emotional part will subside when the hormone levels even out. Hopefully the morning sickness will too, with my next two kids, it only lasted a few weeks. Don't worry about the baby if you are not able to eat "right", they get what they need from your body, but you have to take care of yourself.

Congrats easy. When I was pregnant I had to keep crackers and something to drink next to the bed. If I got out of bed before I ate something I would really feel bad. So if your morning sickness is really bad eat before you get out of bed. Something that I craved with all 3 kids was apples and peanut butter so I ate that alot, because it didn't make me feel bad. I could'nt be around any food while it was cooking which made it kind of difficult, hope your not that bad. Good luck it's all worth it in the end.

Congrats easydoesit..i too found that the crackers helped and later down the road when you get to the point of dealing with indigestion, drink root beer thats the best medicine for indigestion i found when i was pregnant... even works best if its not real cold... The first trimester is the hardest.. always had a hard time brushing my teeth in the morning it seemed to trigger the sickness... i don't know why that was but it did.. and the smell of certain foods made me sick as well, like hamburger meat cooking and the smell of coffee.. it'll get better trust me, been there done that 4 times... oh and those prenatal vitamins they make you take, they'll plug you up big time... eat plenty of fiber trust me you'll need it.. and talk to the DR about calcium pills too, the baby tends to suck up your calcium supply and it'll hurt you in the long run with your bones, plus it'll help with leg cramps, (i used to get charlie horses in the middle of the night) found out later is was lack of calcium.. (the baby sucked out of my system)... but I will say in the long run it's all worth it until they turn about 11 or 13.. then you wonder why you did this.. lmao.. but they do turn into humans again.. my baby of 4 turns 20 in a week...
