I just upgraded to the latest firefox and now I have ads and pop-ups galore! Never had ads or popups in my life with firefox. I try to adblock and i can't find where to do it, it's not an option? Tried updating my add-ons but no updates. I should have never updated to the new firefox...things were fine!

I've got version 3.5.2 and adblock with no problems. What are you using?

Same version but it's not letting me block the ads on this site. I had 98% ads blocked, pretty much ad free until i downloaded the new version and now i have ads all over myspace and even had a few pop ups. I can still block the myspace ads, but not sure why I can't block the ones at the top here....they were blocked before.

Try removing the adblock add on. Then shut down, restart, and reload the adblocker add on. It sounds like something went wonky.

I think something did go kind of wonky lol I like that term, btw! haha I removed the adblock and reinstalled but still saw an add at the top of the page, which i blocked. Maybe some new ones are slippin in somehow. It'll be ok...I'll just keep blocking until we get it under control. No more pop ups yet, cross my fingers!
I did happen to add a new add-on called Cool Previews. Pretty neat! Just scroll over a link and you click this lil icon that brings up the webpage to preview.
Do you recommend any add-ons? I currently have
Adblock Plus
Download Helper (something new I just added that says you can download youtube videos and send them in email or something.....I think that's what it does, I haven't played with it yet)
Multitab Handler (another new thing I just added and not sure what it does yet)
IE Tab (opens an IE window without having to open IE itself)

Yeap, I use 'wonky' a lot in person when things go pear shaped around here and at work. There are some ads that do not get blocked by adblock but there is adblock plus to look at as well. Then there is the option to block the few that do slip through. I have to do it on occasion but not too often. Cool Previews is a neat addon and I use it on some of my other computers. I also have some others but i don't have them on my work comp. One I do use at home is actually an experimental add on that works like a key logger. I used it last year for our exchange student when he started acting out in order to gain access to some of his email accounts to find out what was going on with him. Presently, I use several types of addon's on my work computer.
AdBlock Plus- Seems to block a little more than the standard AdBlock.
AnyColor- Allows you to modify the default Firefox skin to another color. I use black because it's easier on the eyes.
Download Status Bar- Give you a status bar for downloads.
Download Helper- Downloads videos and images from many websites. It's a neat little tool.
Flashblock- Blocks flash type objects and adds a button to allow you to play them. Works great for flash based advertisements.
ForecastFox- Adds your current weather to the bottom of your Firefox status bar.
FoxClocks- Allows you to add clocks for various time zones ont he bottom status bar.
Google Toolbar- Search engine
NoScript- Extra protection from java script files
PDF Download- Allows you to Save a webpage as a PDF

I flatly refuse to update Firefox even tho have been prompted to do so !! Learned my lesson the hard way. Last time I did, they completely whipped out my customized bookmarks system, replacing with their own. If not for a backup file on disk, I'd been up creek. As was, still took several hours to reset bookmarks and rebuild custom folders.
