My new lens came in today and this is the 1st photo I took with it. Straight out of the camera. I have to do a little practicing to get it down right.

Thanks!!!!! I had so much going on today I didn't get to play with the lens but for 2 pictures. It has a few bells and whistles I'm in the dark about but will go on a camping trip soon and learn them I hope. This is a used lens but it really looks new----very happy with it. Just have to get use to it cause it's a little different than the one I have been using the last 2 yrs.

Nice capture....what kind of lens did you get? Is it a macro, I enjoy mine. It's a 100mm macro by Minolta. Minolta is now Sony and the Sony 100mm is the same lens with a different name printed on it. It has a focus limiter button that I do not know how to use yet and I have been so busy I have only taken 2 pictures with it so for. The slow down in the oil field has been a increase of work for part timers as everyone is cutting over time for full time employees. It's a used lens but it doesn't have a scratch on it EDIT to add:------and just think last Friday it was in Japan, LOL

I love my macro for floral pictures and butterflies....here's a capture I got last weekend at your house, not sure what kind of bloom it is but it caught my eye so: and here is one of your pink jasmine: can't wait to go hunting for wild flower pictures!

I think that is one of the Pear Tree. If it was near the patio and full of blooms that's the Pear Tree.

Then that's a pear blossom because it was by the patio.

I love playing with elements....haven't had much time for it lately though. I've never used the plastic wrap, pretty neat!

my mind reels at the novel and naughty uses for that plastic wrap feature.. except for, in my case, it would be plastic warp..
