I was looking forward to watching the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still".. it was my favorite movie when I was a kid and most of my friends considered it a classic. I was hoping they'd follow the original story line and add new visual's making it fun to watch.. No.. they changed it to a Al Gore Testimonial, it's going to be about Greenesshood. It's a propaganda piece for the Global Warming,.. uh "Climate Change" scam..
Fock 'em! I ain't going!

I'm with you DD. I was looking forward to seeing it till I read a review. An Al Gore commercial I can do without. If I wanted fairy tales from the left I would watch ABC, NBC, CNN and the rest of the liberal rags for FREE

It really wasn't all about that, DD. The only part was when they said the alien were coming to help the earth because the people were killing it. That was the only thing mentioned, I think.

I don't recall any specific mention of global warming in the dialog. I did step out for a bit to take a kid to the restroom, so maybe missed it? I got out of it more that Klaatu and friends were wanting to save all the millions of other species (of which mankind is just one, thus it's not "our" planet) from mass destruction ala the usual nuclear catastrophe scenario or the like.
