He's all they got. And they're probably going to ride him to death for nothing.

It's funny isn't it? Throw the ball down the field and it opens up the running game. Throw little dinky passes for 3 to 5 yards and the defense shuts everything down. I hate Kubiaks offense and I hope they don't go back to it. Now that he's letting young Kyle Shannahan actually be the offensive coordinator, look at the turnaround.
I remember seeing Alex Gibbs chewing Kubiak up one side and down the other during a game about 6 weeks ago. I think he was mad because his offensive line was getting killed because everything was dink passes allowing the defense to just T off on them. Hopefully, he finally got his point across.
I said after the pre-season that they would be lucky to go 6 and 10 this year. Looks like they're gonna be lucky.

Boy do they stink today. I think, as much as I liked Kubiak, house cleaning from top to bottom is in order.

It just amazes me that they can beat a team like the Titans & then lose to the Raiders!

That's the coaches fault.

I agree. If the coaches want praise for beating the Titans then they have to accept blame for the disgrace in losing to the Raiders. Pitiful! It just doesn't make any sense to me. Same goes for the Cowboys. I blame their problems more on Romo than the coaches. With three pro-bowl receivers in Owens, Witten and Williams - they should catch enough to win if only the hollywood QB could get the ball close to them without interceptions. Other teams can do it so why not these two Texas teams?

The cowboys' problem seems to stem from too much dependence on timing routes in the passing game. A post pattern, a fade pattern and a camp out on the first down marker every play and sooner or later the defense just sets up for it and all they have to do is a little bump and the timing is disrupted and you get passes that look way off target which makes the QB look lousy.
Kubiaks offense is almost 100% timing routes and until they get away from that and get a better offensive line (I know, I know, the pundits say they're great) that can block and open up some avenues for a running back to run through, they're just going to stay mediocre.
I subscribe to what Mike Holovak used to say when he was the coach of the Boston Patriots. (I was stationed in Manchester NH at the time and they practiced sometime at the base) He said the way you build a football team is on offense you build an offensive line that could block so good a little old lady could rush for 100 yards a game. Then, and only then do you go after the star QB and RB. (he used to say, "you don't go buy a diamond ring and then just leave it on the front porch unprotected") On defense, you build a defensive line that when the game is over the other side has negative yards gained.
The Texans went out after the million dollar QB right off the bat and left him out on the porch.
