I've been using Lipton's Onion Soup Mix in my crockpot recipes.. then it hit me.. I used to use Wylers Bullion Cubes disolved in the appropriate volume of water.. either chicken or beef and it's eversomuch more less expensive than the Lipton's soup packaged mixes..
I just hate to pay more for something I can get at a better price.. isn't the results the same? adding onion, or whatever? what's the argument on this?

I personally use onion or fresh onion to bullion and perhaps Worcester sauce for my own taste.

I used a Rival crockpot, not sure of the size. 6 qt. maybe. I bought a 4.5 lb. turkey breast at HEB. I seasoned with salt and cooked it in chicken broth w/ onions and celery. I hadn't cooked a turkey that way before. I will get more creative next time.

ty! I may attempt same ... was thinking that I could do it with Cilantro, Onion, Garlic, Salt, and Pepper and get a flavor suitable for both sandwiches and tacos.. Mayo on the sandwiches, salsa on the tacos... Chopped onions, tomatoes, and lettuce on both..

That sounds good. The next time I cook a turkey, I'm going to fry it. It's been a long time since I've cooked one that way and I'm going to have to find the recipe for the seasonings that I used.
