Should he stay or should he go?
I've been a fan of Gary Kubiak for many years. He used to stop by Terry High School football practice when my son was on the team and he was a class act and the kids thought he walked on water.
I was really excited when he became the Texans coach but he has been a very great disappointment to me. I really think he was not ready and that now he is in so over his head he will never come up with this team.
I kick myself to think that the Texans could have had Marty Shotenheimer (my favorite coach), Dan Reeves (a proven winner) or maybe even Wade Phillips.
For my vote, it's time for Gary to go. Maybe Marty is still available. I'm a firm believer that you build a team from the offensive line up. After all, who in their right mind would buy a diamond (quarterback) and keep it in a cigar box (offensive line)?

Marty can't win the big one, Dan is too old to build a team and Wade is busy being Jerry Jones puppet... With that said, the problem isn't coaching, it is building a team using the draft to go after offensive and defensive linemen. Micro-management is a real problem for the Texans.

Uh, if you'll do a little review you will find that Gary Kubiak is the man that decides who the Texans have on their team. Smith is just a figurehead. As for Marty not being able to win the big one, hell, at this point I'd just like to see the Texans with a chance to get to the big one. But they are one pathetic football team.
I watched the game today, the first time I've watched them since game 3, and they have actually gotten worse. This BS offense that Kubiak thinks is the Holy Grail is terrible. If all you're going to do is throw 5 to 10 yard passes and hope someone can break away for a big gain, the defense is simply going to cram that down your throat. I'm so sick of hearing Kubiak say "we want to be in a position to win the game at the end". BS. Why not be in a position to rest your first teamers and play the second and third stringers at the end?
What the Texans are doing is playing maintenence. "Let's see if we can keep the score 0 to 0 and then maybe they will screw up and trip in the end zone and give us a safety so we win."

Wonder what the Texans could do with a really good quarterback. I believe they are a good team, but they don't seem to know that. What is it with Houston teams when they refuse to spend money on decent or really good proven players.

in today's game, like so many in the past, there was a time when the Texan's still had a chance to win, but the way they were playing, the way they were carrying themselves, something in their body language along with their lackluster waning performance told you they have no chance in Hell in pulling this one out, and no matter how much beer your drink or how loud you shout and cuss, they're sill going to lose...

Doesn't it make you wonder, there are three ROOKIE coaches in the NFL and their teams seem to be kicking butt?
