I had a virus attack my computer awhile back (so I was told). I had it worked on and my computer works fine, although I can't do a recover on it or change setting because it says I am not the administator. But my scanner (I assumed) had broken because it didn't work with my computer anymore. Well a year or so down the road my printer finally broke and I bought a new all in one printer scanner (Lexmark) and the printer worked but not the scanner. I took it back to the store and got a new all in one (HP) and again the printer works but the scanner is not working right. The scanner does scan but I get a jet black image. Is the problem the scanners or was it the repair job that was done on my computer? I never had a problem with my scanner working until I got my computer back from the repair shop. I was told it needed new a new mother board and that it was replaced. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be so I can repair it.
I refuse to take it to the repair shop because when I went back to describe my problem I was told it could have been that the shop that worked on it may have done the job wrong and to bring it in to them and they could repair it. When I told them that THEY did the job they were surprised. And then the story changed that I must of picked up another virus and to bring it to them to repair again. At those prices I might as will just buy a new computer.

When it comes to computers there could be so many different things causing the problem. Two weeks ago I got a computer in that would not boot and it gave me no choice but to format and reinstall. Simple enough. I formatted, reinstalled Windows, put antivirus and antispyware on it and sent it back to the owner. Once it got home, nothing worked right. Gave weird errors and would not install programs. It was embarrasing to say the least. Come to find out the CD rom needed replacing, it was not reading disk properly. I had to do everything all over again, but the second time I sent it home, it was working properly. I'm not saying thats whats wrong with your computer but it could be something just as strange. Take it someplace else and see if another tech can figure out what is going on with it.
