We're at War with Russia.. we don't act like we know it yet, but we've been at war since they enlisted the Islamic Jihadists as a surrogate Army.. they and China (ally) protect them and the entire "Axis of Evil" from any diplomatic solution, and arm them with their latest and most advanced weapon technology... add to that their Georgia escapade.. and next is Poland, Ukraine, whoever...
we're at war... and we're losing..

We don't even have half of the American people on the right side - yet. It will take the uncovering of Obama as a national disaster before people will see the truth. The media needs to be restricted to only reporting the truth and not trying to politizing e verything.

Oh and we will continue to lose as long as we keep up futile efforts with worthless sand pits.
Reagan funded the Taliban in the 80s to keep Russia fighting a war that eventually drained their economy.....it was an extreamly smart move at the time....it drained the Russian Economy, killed thousands of Russian military and did not cost us one American life.
TODAY......we are stuck in the reverse role. We are being sucked into never ending conflicts between Afghanistan and Iraq and being drained while we lose thousands of US military men and women.
Afghanistan has not been wiped out since Alexander the great.
Although I do agree with us being there moreso than Iraq.....BOTH are total non-winnable wars.
If we leave in 6 days...6 months....6 years....it does not matter.....when we do leave all hell will break lose and a dictator will take his rightful place over the people of each country.
China is over rated IMHO. They will never attack us as they depend way too much on us for trade. They are pretend Communists.....they follow Communist doctrine in relation to government and their people...but their economic system is PURE Capatalism. They make....they ship....they take money for products.....it is an exchange...and that is NOT a comunist system of economics.
I have a buddy that goes there often for his job (computer programming) he said that although China's Government may have delusions of grandur about becoming the next mighty world power.....their average people (which makes up the most of their large numbers) are not at all of the mentality to engage in confrontation. He said they are weak mentally and really have zero desire. Also....due to their strict rules on household children allowed per famiily.....their HUGE workforce that we always hear about is in serious trouble.....much of their workforce is aging out and NOT being replaced by yonger people due to the stipulations.
China has and will continue to grow....but their potantial as a real threat to the USA...is really more bark than bite and VERY MUCH media influenced.
And Russia is stagnating under Putin......he's already created desent in the people and even has Gorby creating an opposition party to counter him very soon.
Russia and China alone...are each overated...but the problem is that all too often they are in bed together and THAT is what makes them a threat.
But over time I think you will see Putin "removed" at some point...and then hopefully they can attempt to right their own ship.
BUT for us....we need to be more concerned with Iran at the moment....AND with creating stronger ties with India for any BS Pakistan starts to flare up with.

Who was it that said "War is hell"
Well, I don't know either................
I look at it this way....We're in Iraq standing between Iran and Israel, which is a "nuclear" combination.
And we're in Afghanistan between Iran and Pakistan, another "nuclear" combination.
Pakistan has between 3 and 5 nuclear devices (bombs ?) and Israel has a reported 5 nuclear bombs (maybe 50) and ways to deliver them.
The world has learned that the USA cannot be beat on the battlefield but on the home-front, we're a bunch of puzzies (no backbone) and you know what....................they're right

We are at war. And, as we are, I wonder what you folks think about all the hand wringing and head banging going on over holding those "enemy combatants" in Gitmo without the right of Habeas Corpus. It seems we have a Supreme Court that thinks what we are doing is unconstitutional. What do you think?

What do I think? I think it was a super bad decision, and the Supreme and the Federal Courts will shift even more to the left as obama appoints those whose aim is to redefine the Constitution to provide redistribution of the wealth... We're still suffering form the Johnson, Carter, and Clinton Appointees some of which gained their law degrees thanks to affirmative action.. they can strike down any entity's election results.. ask the Good Citizens of Farmers Branch...
but just look at what the lib's have done to our Criminal Justice system here..

The ONLY light in the tunnel is that the three possible retiree's from the Supreme Court are the three most liberal members allready there............

The thing about it though is that probably the most LIBERAL Supreme Court Justice to ever sit on the bench was the one that, if we would follow his example, pointed out that foreigners are not entitled to the protections of the US Constitution. I spent about a year reading "Commentaries on the US Constitution" by Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, circa 1837. I highly recommend that book to anyone that thinks they know diddly about the Constitution.
I will expand on his take on Habeas Corpus later but this weekend I've a wedding going on. The son is finally getting hitched. I told him musicians don't stay married very long but he just wouldn't listen.

According to Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, no non-American citizen is entitled to ANY protections afforded under the US Constitution. And therefore, those people in GITMO that are non-American citizens are not entitled to be tried in the United States by a US court.
BUT. Mr Obama has said otherwise. I sure hope some of our constitutional scholars will call his hand on that.
