I'm always looking for dip recipes. Any favorites you want to share?
Here's one of ours: It is a simple three ingredient thing.
Flatten one block of cream cheese onto a plate Top with a can of crab meat Spread cocktail sauce over that.
Serve with crackers.

Sister lives in East Texas, she scores some cranberry's with Jalapeno.. it's great with regular Cranberry eating Turkey, Dressing, etc.. but she also mixes a jar with cream cheese and we dip all those fancy crackers in it... so dam good..
found some: TEXAS Sweet & Hot Cranberry Relish.. Tastes of the Southwest, Inc PO Box 131731 Tyler Tx 75713 903 597 0546

Everyone likes this where I work. Corn Dip 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream 1 cup mayonnaise 2 (11 ounce) cans Mexican-style corn 5 green onions, chopped 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced 1 (7 ounce) can diced green chiles 1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese
Mix it all up and put in fridge overnight. It tastes better if it sits overnight.

My bean dip recipe makes quite a bit but it is very very good.
BEAN DIP
2 cans refried beans 1 can rotel tomatoes with lime and cilantro 4 oz. sliced black olives ½ tsp. Garlic powder 3 1/2 cups (aprox) shredded mixed cheeses (sharp cheddar, Monterey jack, Mexican blend) 1 pound pan sausage browned and drained
Mix all ingredients and microwave until warm and cheeses melt. Stir every little bit, while heating, to keep mixed. This is also great for a crock pot. Serve with favorite chips and/or crackers.

Last night I dreamed of having some Chili con Queso Flameado. I've been searching all over the internet for the Recipe like what we got at Los Portales in Matamoros... can't find it...
Ingredients: Queso Blanco or a Queso Asadero or a Queso Oaxaca Melt up a bunch in a double boiler. While the cheese is melting, grill the Chorizo slow heat.. Meanwhile sautee in olive oil chopped onion, serannos or Jalapeno Peppers, and just before they're all sauteed, toss in some chopped fresh mushroom, and finish cooking.. mix the Chorizo, onion, pepper, and mushrooms in with the cheese, pour up on a platter, splash with a shot of white tequila and set aflame...
I don't have the exact amounts, you just have to eyeball this one.. it's the best of the best Chili con Queso Dips there is.. Trust Me!
