Have any of you had that done? I'm having that surgery later this summer...probably in July b/c I'm in a production of The Wizard of Oz that's not over until the end of June. I'm excited, yet scared. I've had PLENTY of surgeries, but this one's going to be SUPER different. Nearly all the ones I've had before were abdominal, so to speak, so this is new territory for me. Any knowledge on the subject?

I had a friend who had it done...she said piece of cake but that is all I can tell you about it. Good luck with it tho...hope your pain is minimal and the outcome is fabulous.

I had it done at the end of March. It wasn't bad for me. The worst part were the tubes that had to stay in for a week after surgery. My back feels so much better. It was literaly a weight lifted off me. Good luck with your surgery and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Where are you having it done?

I had a friend who just had it done and she is not satisfied with the results. She is smaller but says they are still not perky like she wanted. I believe she is going to go back and have them worked on again. Good luck and be picky about the Doctor you choose.

Thanks, gals!
I had NO idea I would have tubes! That's just scary...granted, I don't guess I'd know since I'm a few days shy of my first appointment. I actually live in Jonesboro, AR now, and it's small enough that there are TWO whole "plastic" surgeons here in town, lol. But I've heard that Dr. Hiers does great work, so I'm anxious to see it for myself. I'm ready for my back to stop hurting too. And I have to say, if they're not put back up where they're supposed to be when all is said and done...I'm gonna be livid. I don't really understand why a doc wouldn't do that, ya know?
e-d-i...did your doc discuss the size and everything with you? Like about what cup size you'd want to go down to? I really don't know what a "normal" size would be on me as I am quite tall, and about a size 14 (or thereabouts). I can wear a men's medium t-shirt, but of course my boobs make it tighter than it would be otherwise. So...5'10" size 14...IDK, I'm afraid of going too small b/c of my size, but I'm also afraid that if I say something like going down to a DD (from an H), I'll still have problems.

We did discuss it and he said the smallest he would go was a D because of my frame (I was and DDD). He said any smaller wouldn't look good. I'm guessing your doctor will do tubes underneath to drain the excess liquid. Maybe he doesn't . That will be a good question to ask him. Mine are back where they're supposed to be.

My husband and I had this discussion today...he's definitely the wrong person to ask, so surelythe doc will make good suggestions. And having them put back up where they belong and looking like I actually have the chest of a 30-year-old woman will be nice.

I should have known better than to look in this thread. I thought it was about protesting the use of hormones in chickens to make bigger and better meat products. lol
Carry on.

I dunno, I almost preferred it was about chicken. Trust me, it wouldn't bother me if it were that way...that way it wouldn't involve me. On the other hand, that's not going to help get things back UP where they're supposed to be, lmao!

After hearing some things about the surgeon I was to see, I canceled my appt. Then I rescheduled it, so instead of seeing her on the 2nd as planned, I will see her on the 25th. YAY! I'm excited!
