From time to time there comes need of a forum feature that all should be aware they have at their disposal. This particular feature allows a user to ignore PM's from another user of their choosing. It is one I hope some find useful and efficient. Please see below for screen shots and instructions. ;D
Step 1: You have found someone that just rubs you the wrong way. Someone that just pm'd you and called you out of your name. A Wirty Dord, perhaps. Worse yet, you've managed to delete it so you can't show the authorities if need be. You're only option left to you, ignore the offending party.
As shown in the image above, on the Main Forum Page, in the upper left hand area is the PM Notification Area. Click on the XX messages (where XX is the number of messages in your PM box).
Step 2: As shown above in your PM Box you will need to click on PM Preferences to take you to a new screen.
Step 3: As shown in the image above you have a new box that allows you to Block users. If you wish to not receive messages from any particular users, type in their username (See note below) in the box. You can enter one username per line. If you wish to block all messages, put a * in the box. When done there you have two other options. To receive an email or notification when a PM arrives. When you have completed your changes click on the Save Preferences button.
Important Note: Some individuals have a username and a screen name. The username is the name that is shown in all lower case letters. Typically, if a name is capitalized, it is a screen name. In order to see the username which must be listed in the ignore box as shown above you will need to go to the users profile. The username will be shown in the profile as in the highlighted area. You can type or copy and paste the name from this area. Use the image shown below as a guide.
PLEASE NOTE:[/b] The Administrators, Moderators, nor Site Owner CANNOT make these changes or updates for you. WE HAVE NO ACCESS to your user PM Panel. The ONLY way that would be possible is for you to provide your login information to those individuals in order to make the changes.
