I don't remember seeing such a bloody movie in recent years. At least Clint Eastwood's victims didn't get covered in blood. But the acting at least by Woody was superb. His sweat and nervousness sitting in that chair across from his killer was really a fine piece of acting.

"AND one of the worst non endings ever filmed"
Thank goodness! I was afraid I just didn't get the end like I was supposed to. Glad someone else thought it was a non ending end as well.

Actually.....it's supposed to be just about a perfect translation from the book. INCLUDING the terrible ending.
I myself enjoy closure no matter what media I'm viewing.....movie, or book.
Tell me this would not make a MUCH more satisfying film.....
*************SPOILERS****************(don't read past this if you have not seen the film!
At the end, the wreck occurs.....and as the child is coming up to Sugur, even while dying and gasping for his last breaths....he's STILL attempting to take life.....as he's dying he reaches for his canister and points it to the kid's head.....and after a few seconds.....he drops dead. THEN cut to the table scene.
They make Sugur such an evil, vile presence......the ONLY way to have a satisfying ending is to have him die.
I STILL ro this day do NOT see how that ending got past test sceenings.
