DUCT TAPE This topic was on another WCU forum, somewhere, but since it mostly has to do with repairs or home fix-it problems, bringing it here makes the logical since. To re-launch it, let me begin with some of its most illogical uses for this sticky tape: Wart Removal: To treat a common warts, a small piece of duct tape should be applied over the wart and worn for six days. On the sixth day, remove the tape and soak the area in water before you use a pumice stone or emery board to scrape the area. The following day, apply the duct tape, repeating the six-day routine of soaking and scraping. This treatment can be done until the wart goes away. Another medicinal use for duct tape - Cut Bandage or Band Aide: And then there's the Hearing Protector Ear Plugs: These are my contributions. How about some of yours?

Here's an example of improper Duct Tape use. Jennifer Silva, a second grade teacher at Katy's Roosevelt Alexander Elementary School was fired Monday night by school trustees for sticking tape on about 6 students' mouths on Feb. 2 as a reminder to work quietly.. It's Simple, don't use Duct Tape to enforce a "no talking" rule at the Katy ISD.

Show her you care with a homemade BOW on that next wrapped gift ... and save the money for something else, like a stop at the old watering hole. I had to wrap a present for my wife's birthday and couldn't find where she hid the ribbons and the tape so I broke out my Duck® tape! After the wrapping, then came the bows. First, I took a strip about 7 inches long then cut it into long strips about a .25 inch wide. Then I looped the ends around leaving an exposed area of the sticky side and finally I made crosses and stacked them slightly rotated from the one below. She was amazed at yet another use for this indespensable gift from the gods. Much better looking than any of those store-bought bows I think.

Around here I don't think we could function without our duct tape. Not too long ago there was an article on making a wallet from it. Around father's day and I think in an insert in the Sat EC Leader News. We thought it was cute but didn't try it.

I use Duct Tape to keep my jeans inside my rubber boots when mucking out stalls in the barn. For personal use, a contestant credited Duct Tape in a pageant to hold up her bust during the evening gown competition. Don't like taking your best coozies to a company picnic or other social gathering, then by all means a homemade Duct Tape Coozie will keep your beverages cool and icey just the same, and less likely to walkoff when unattended.

I am a big fan of Duct tape, I use it to repair holes in the fabric on my airplanes, sometimes the holes were quite large requiring some duct tape engineering. We, in the airplane game call it 100 mile-an-hour tape.
"Duct tape", Don't leave home without it.................... ;D

Around father's day and I think in an insert in the Sat EC Leader News. We thought it was cute but didn't try it. There's a mess of wallet or billfold designs which use duct (or "duck") tape as the sole material. Here's one such wallet -- Yellow Duct Tape Wallet, standard duct tape wallet with 2 pockets for cards, taking about 30 minutes to make. Whoever said, the Chinese make the cheapest products around, never had a roll of duct tape and a good imagination... The above project came from: www.instructables.com/id/E0BYEMUIC9ET2JXVFV/and while you're there, learning how to make one yourself, be sure to checkout some of the other designs or uses for this sticky utility tape...

getting back to the original topic, my great aunt cured a lot of kids with warts by rubbing a piece of sweet potato on the warts then burying it. i would have never believed it until she cured my niece of warts that she had all over hands. she had gone to several doctors without any luck. she did the same for a neighbor boy. after they disappeared, he called her the witch lady. anyone else know of this cure?

I had an ugly, I mean hideous wart on my right wrist.. a lady I know witched it off.. one day (Honest to God) I turned over my wrist and it was gone... Never questioned another weird thing she told me.. not even her encounters with ghosts that she claimed were living in her house..
