My husband bought 2 tangerine trees from Home Depot's nursery a couple of years ago. I don't know what kind they were though. They produced that very first year and have since. Like ion said, plant in a protected area away from the wind if you can.

I have a clementine tree that is doing really well here so far. I kept it in a large pot so it could move with me.

I had a Meyer's Lemon in Brownsville... the lemons were size of Oranges, one Lemon was almost enough to make a quart of lemonade.. that with a Mexican Lime "Bush" which had tiny limes, but bore them all year round after it's first year's yield, we were kept in good citrus. Both went good with Oso Negro ..

I have 2 orange trees, one lemon and one lime tree. All four are in big planters and so far are doing pretty well. I had to put some type of dust on them back in the summer for some type of bug that was eating the leaves. Other than that, water and sun pretty much does the trick.
