I have a hard time with the leaves in my yard. They are little tiny leaves that seem to be somehow "cup" shaped. They hold water, but seem to never break down. I dont have any way of breaking them up other than the mower. That doesnt seem to do much good though. They come from some kind of oak .. live oak .. or something. They are tough little suckers though. Any idea's?

Well, you could vacuum 'em up in one of the leaf collecting bag attachments that does on back/side of your mower, layer 'em in an enclosure & throw a thin layer of dirt on 'em to speed up decomp. or you could run 'em thru a store bought leaf shredder ... or if you can hang on til I get the bugs worked out of a DIY leaf shredder I'm working on in my shop & build it when after its posted--
