so what would you say is the drink of choice in The Nam? water, tea, rice wine? I'll answer that question using your powers of recollection to previous posts. Without a doubt, Tra is the #1 beverage. Followed by Bai Hoi and then Ruou Gao ... rice wine is Japanese drink & only found in upscale Oriental restaurants ... water (bottled) is what the tourists drink mostly (as H2O from other sources is not generally safe to drink) ... some of the Viet Vets who come back, always try a bottle of Bia Ba Ba Ba that Vietnam Triple-X beer which tastes as dreadful now as it did during the war, but typically go to something more palatible & never finish that brewsky.

...after nearly 6-weeks, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam returned our digi-cam & some of the developed pictures from our 35mm we took on our visit to the country in January-February, AND hopefully, we will be able to provide some of the photos, if we can get them to download from the camera which has been somewhat boogered up by the Viets or was damaged in transit ... unfortunately the 35mm camera didn't make it back.
