Hello.
We do not have any new information regarding Bobby.
However there are rumors running wild. I can tell you that what we know is posted on the Leader-News, Journal-Spectator or Advocate WebPages. That would also include the information you have posted here.
Out of respect for Bobby we will not answer any questions, guess or speculate on this troubling situation.
We ask that you do the same thing we’re doing – keep Bobby in your thoughts and prayers.
If we get any information we will post it here.
The KULP staff is missing a family member and we pray for his safe return to the arms of those who love and care for him.
Bobby we miss you!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It is a comfort to know folks care. We do not have any news today. WCSO continues to follow leads. There have been many rumors about. One is that a car has been pulled from the river. This is NOT true. The river is moving at 25pmh and is over 20 feet making any work impossible. There was the report of a car going into the river, but WCSO believes this has nothing to do with our current situation. We ask you continue to pray and think of Bobby because we all miss him very much. KULP Radio

“They say…..” Those have to be the two most hurtful words right now for us at KULP and the family of Bobby.
We are deeply saddened by the cruel and heartless rumors being talked about without any respect to Bobby or his family. Or any respect to the facts.
The fact of the matter is there are two who know where Booby is. One is Bobby and one The Good Lord and right now neither is sharing any information with anyone.
With every rumor the hurt and pain grows deep for the family.
This isn’t a TV series; this is real life with real feelings and real pain being inflicted on the immediate family.
If you know something then please report it. If it’s “they say” then you know it’s not the truth. Don’t pass it along. Put yourself in the family’s position.
What you can do is pray for Bobby and his family because each day it’s a battle to stay positive and keep hope alive.

Prayers are forthcoming from here. Your definition of what "they say" does to family and loved ones is priceless. Well Said! Will be keeping a candle lit.

This is not a good day.
The Wharton PD overnight found a license plate. The license plate is Bobby's.
The state diver team has discovered a car in 17 or 18 feet of water. The water is moving at 2 to 4 feet per second. Making a recovery effort impossible at this point impossible.
The head dive master from the state has been flown into Wharton to see if its possible for divers to attempt to get to the car.
The decision will be make today (6.28.07) as to if this is possible.
More than ever please keep Bobby in your thoughts and prayers.
The fact of the matter is we do not know Bobby's status. Bobby is still listed as a Missing Person until we know otherwise.
We are keeping faith that Bobby is well.
Thank you for your concern, thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for keeping us up to date with the facts. Bobby as well as the rescue team are in my prayers. That water is dangerous.

This will be our final post for awhile unless there is new information. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. This is not a good time for any of us who know and love Bobby. Since the State dive team made a decision not to attempt to bring the car out of the Colorado the question being asked is – ‘what does this mean?’ The river is expected to rise starting tomorrow and it will continue to rise through next week. This will make it impossible to access the river or the car. When we spoke with the state and asked the question – ‘when you attempt to access the car?’ we were told – “not until the river is normal again.” This is a very frustrating because we all want an answer but we will now have to wait days or even weeks for that answer. We are trying to be strong and remain positive holding on to the idea that bobby is ok. We ask that you keep Bobby’s family in your prayers during this trying period. Thank you for your support. Statement from the family of Bobby Jones
We the family of Bobby Jones would, first of all, like to express our deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who has extended their prayers and love to us and to Bobby. We are just as shocked and distraught over this situation as are all of his loving fans. The impact of Bobby’s disappearance is being felt all over the country, because his fan-base is large and diverse. He has traveled, not just across Texas, but to several other states and even Europe, sharing his gift and bringing joy to the hearts of others. What has propelled Bobby to such immense popularity over such a long period is his dynamic personality that he exudes on stage. Furthermore, and more importantly, is that he has such a personal relationship with his fans, making them feel, not just like fans, but family.
But, Bobby we love you so very much, not because you are the Texas Polka King, but because you are our brother, without whom our family is incomplete. We eagerly await the day that we can laugh with you again, as we share the memories of our family that are unique only to us. We are praying for your safe return and we pray that the love and peace of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour keep you and sustain you until you come back home to us.
Also, we would like to respectfully decline any requests for on-camera, newspaper or telephone interviews, as we are so very deeply grief-stricken and need private time as a family to cope with this situation.
Sincerely, The family of Bobby Jones

Sometimes without thinking because we are concerned we don’t mean to but we intrude. While some intentions are heartfelt sometimes the questions and comments hurt.
Respect Bobby’s family. Give them support though your thoughts and prayers. Give them the Family the space they need during this situation.
