For the last couple of days or so, I have not been able to open any outside email or log onto ebay. I can look at the pages with no problem, I can log onto here, but I cannot log onto anything else. I have not upgraded anything lately or done any changes that I know of.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem is??
Oh yeah.. I also have Firefox and pages work there fine...just not my Explorer. I run Windows XP

Have you tried the restore procedure? Or Have you re-booted the system from a cold start? Sounds simplistic, but most times it's something simple.. it that don't work.... Read this and try it... technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490854.aspxbe sure and go to a day you know it was working ok... First, just to make sure it's not all your MSOE's fault, why don't you try Open Your MSOE (outlook express) File Folder Compact All folders (if you haven't done this in a while, go make a sandwich.. it can take a while) Check out your firewall perissions, some times an upgrade will sneak in and set things awry...

I've cleared temp files and cookies. I've compressed the email folder. I've reset defaults. I have no idea about a firewall and I've never done a restore. If I click on tools and AT&T services and go to the msn page, it will come up there and I can log onto Yahoo. I cannot open MSN messenger or hotmail or log onto ebay (only places I've tried)
MSN messenger tells me my gateway? is offline but it cannot repair it.

Ask someone to help you do the Restore.. ask around, and a Firewall is included with your XP and is overridden if you have a Norton or some other "Security" firewall protection.
Try Calling your ISP for assistance, they should help, I've even called mine (AT&T) and they gave me what I needed.
Ask a teenager, they know all this.. Good Luck
