We're not much of what you'd call "pill poppers" at our house. Vitamin pills or supplements included. We tend to get our vitamins & minerals from the fresh fruits and vegetables we eat. While the Nutrition Center is a viable source of info, how can you really be sure if what is claimed to be in the tablet or elixier really is?

unless I misunderstood the JAMA report, taking vitamin pills could be detrimental to your health. Most vitamin tablets have many time the amount of the vitamin (A,C, or E) and in that amount serve as some sort of disruptor in the body sending messages to the immune control mechanisms that control abnormal cells.. it shorts out the messenger when he's on his way with a "bad cell" message... tell me if I got it wrong..
