Ok, so I picked me up a small box of Splenda yesterday while doing some grocery shopping at HEB. I used it in my coffee this morning and it's really not bad at all. Of course, with any dietary sweetener you are going to have somewhat of an artificial taste, but this compared to say sweet and low or Equal is MUCH better. I mean like to me, 100% better, and I really dont' get down with those artifical sweeteners at all, but Splenda is pretty good Has anybody had any experiences with this? I definately say give it a try.

my bro-in-law is diabetic and thats what he uses instead of sugar, so whenever i get coupons i always save them for him

My daughter is trying to bake with Splenda .. havent heard any results yet. I know lots of people who use it and say it tastes better than any other artificial sweetner. My sweetie uses "Sweet Thing" .. gets it at HEB .. cost's a lot less than any of the other's. I dont use artificial sweetner in coffee or tea .. just drink it plain ..no sugar. But for cereal or baking .. gotta have sugar.

I've had good experiences baking with Splenda, tried the "Sweet Thing" but didn't like it. Using Splenda, I cut back on the portion recommended, or it's too sweet.

I use Splenda anywhere that I used to use sugar: from my flax meal "fake" banana bread to sweetening a mayo dressing for coleslaw. Works great, tastes good. Just be sure you don't try to sub the little packages in a recipe. Doesn't work. Use the powder.

Stevia. Good. No seriously nasty aftertaste. Bought some from the Health Store in BC about 8 years ago. Didn't like it at first because I was using too much. Trying it now with the tiniest of little spoons... much better this way vitanetonline.com/description/39100/vitamins/Pure-Stevia-Extract-Powder/Will still use Splenda for baking, but will use Stevia for coffee, tea, lemonade, etc

I got a recipe for peanut butter cookies using splenda. I wasn't sure I would like it, but it was good. I'll see if I can find the recipe.

I made a lemon meringue pie with splenda, the pie wasn't bad, but meringue doesn't like splenda at all....lol....
there is a special splenda for baking, its in the bag... equals cup for cup in measurements...
