Goodness gracious, I am wondering if they found his car somewhere near the river?
Everyone please keep posting any new info. And yes, positive thoughts!

As an 'instrumentalist,' when one is actively involved with their instrument, "You don't leave home without it!"
I know, from my own post, stay positive.

The search for a popular polka bandleader and radio personality moved to a river on Wednesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Jones was reported missing after he did not show up to host his radio show at KULP in El Campo on Saturday. He also did not show up for scheduled weekend performances with his band, the Bobby Jones Czech Band.
Officials said Jones' home was secured and his vehicle was not there.
"There was no blood. There was no fight scene," Wharton County Sheriff Jeff Howell said.
Officials focused their search near the Colorado River, where there were signs that a car went over a field and into the river.
"Obviously, a vehicle went in there. I say obviously just by the side -- two four- or five-inch saplings that were along the edge were knocked over," Howell said.
Floodwaters are expected to hamper the search in the river, which has reached nearly 19 feet.
Jones drove a 1993 Chevy Lumina with license plate F37 YHR.
Anyone with information about Jones' disappearance is asked to call the Wharton County Sheriff's Office at 979-532-1550.
This is on the chanel 2 news web site

I agree with Isabo .. they should have searched earlier, when the tire tracks were first noticed.

well last saturday they said a car possibly went into the river cause they found broken saplings (this was on the scanner)... and tire marks like a car drove into the river near the Los Cucos parking lot... but the river was too high and too swift to search it... but heard through town that sometimes peeps from houston come and dump stolen cars there so they werent too concerned at that point...
now i guess with it almost a week and no sign of him they are trying to beat the clock before they open the flood gates in lake travis and search the river before the water gets any higher... if there is a car in there and the waters not too high the dam in lane city shuold shop it from going any farther then that... but once the flood gates are open theres no telling...
i'm not saying its his car..... just saying there is possibly a car in the river...

They say he made a phone call from home after Cucos had closed. If he planned to drive into the river it would have been allot closer for him to have driven down the road he lived on and off the boat ramp, less than a mile where as Cucos is probably 8 miles from his place.
Went into a business in El Campo today and the young lady working there was in tears. When I asked if she was okay she told me how upset her whole family is about Mr. Jones' disappearance. I wonder if he has the first little clue as to how many people here love and respect him.
I'm by God keeping my happy thoughts about him being okay.

I agree with keeping positive thoughts and prayers. I only posted the information from the channel 2 news site because someone had mentioned it. I am going to keep a good intention for him to be found safe.

Those of you who do not have access to the radio, they are continually playing music. They will break with news as they get it and said they will not hold back any info as it arises.

there is a chart under the topic flooding, up here they are starting to release water from the dam at lake travis into the colorado, and at last count it was four (4) gates opened.
