my monitor has lines flicking through it. is it fixin to die on me?

check your cable on the back and to the computer to make sure it is connected properly....jiggle them around if you have to. could be a faulty cord, but it doesn't sound too good....
i think it may be going out ....

look for interference... if it's a flat screen and easy to move change locations and power sources.. look for UFO's hoovering overhead..

i moved the monitor around and right now it is acting right. it must have been getting interference from something.
i was so afraid it was going to be video card - mother board - or whatever. anyhoo - tyvm for the help.

update:
its still flickering. i think my puter is very very sick.
even tho i have carbonite, i backed up everything.
i'm afraid it is dying. it's been running extremely slow. you would think that computer makers could come up with something similar to the "check engine" light on cars.
