Ok, I've been using my computer since the beginning of the year. I have Vista Home Premium. It is asking me to enter a validation key for windows. I did this when I first bought it and now, all of a sudden, it is asking me to do it again. Ok so I get the product key and type it in and it tells me "already in use" ok, yes I know this already mr. vista! Any idea why I'm getting the activation key pop up now ? it seems it wants me to buy a whole new key and that ticks me off!
Please help!

That doesn't sound good at all. Unfortunately, you may want to give Microsoft a call before it shuts down the system completely.

where you ever able to solve this problem? If not, there is a known issue with windows vista doing this. When you get the activation options, choose to telephone register windows. There has been a patch released that may correct the problem, this patch is directed toward Volume License or OEM (OEM = Windows Vista Home Premium Edition) installations. support.microsoft.com/kb/931573

Yes I figured it out. Just had to call tech support Thanks though and welcome to the forum! This information will be handy for other vista users, as well!
