A Mod can be added to the forum for an Ignore User feature. Just need to get Webmaster to C&P the mod code from the Proboard Support Forums.

You already have that feature available. All you need to do is click on Profile, then click Modify Profile, then scroll down until you see Personal Information and you should see the option Ignore List: at your disposal. In the box next to it just clear out the rubbish and enter the users name you wish to ignore exactly as you see it and save your profile. Poof, their gone.

Okay, you should see a little in the users post under their name/avatar just above the Joined On date. If you click that it will 'ignore' their posts from now on. To unignore just click the icon that takes it's place. I need to change the icon image later in order to more obvious later tonight. Hope that helps.

lol. It's probably because I don't wear my webmaster hat on a regular basis. No need to do so except in a few cases.

We've actually had the ignore feature since the beginning of the forum. The problem seems the code became obsolete and didn't actually work. As such I had to replace it with a newer code. I don't recall if the other forum actually had that feature or not I just thought it would be good to have for some folks from time to time. It wasn't ment to be directed for any one person, ogeezer, just something for everyone if someone deemed it useful for however long they see fit. Not being privy to what transpired I'm not judging one way or the other in this particular situation.

Our differences are what makes us unique, its just too bad some aren't grownup enuff to live with that. You talk out of both sides of your mouth. You don't believe that statement anymore than I do.

If you ignore someone it doesn't delete the thread or the post it only hides their posts from your view. If done correctly you should see the image below. The red highlighted areas are all that will appear. The other smaller red highlighted area should show a You may need to click the image above to make it slightly larger.

I've found yet another type of ignore code that I will try in the morning. It will require taking the other one out of the system in order to fully test it. The present ignore code only allows a maximum of two people ignored.

NOTICE:
I am presently updating the ignore code with a different type of ignore code to allow for more users to be ignored. The old code will be removed completely. The new ignore code is going to be different. It will require you to go to the users profile you intend to ignore and push IGNORE. Again, this is just a test for the day to see how it shakes out. It may or may not stay.
Cancel that. I just tried it and it has some issues as well. I'll look into it and see if I can figure out what is going on and see if there is a correction to the problems. Until then I'm reverting the forum back to the older code.

What I'm discovering is a catch 22 situation. The first code worked and didn't work. The second code works fine to an extent, that being only two people being ignored at once. great if it's only two people you want off the list. The third option, looked great and worked decently except for a few issues. The third code has problems being properly executed in Firefox. It will allow you to ignore great. However, when you try to unignore you run into problems. It says it reversed the ignore but instead does not. When tested in Internet Explorer it will un-ignore, but only if you press the ignore button and not the un-ignore button. In Firefox, it just keeps the individual ignored.
Now that it is about as clear as mud I'll continue to look into this feature and see if I can get a good, stable, reliable feature for you guys. I hate having something halfway so it is an indefinite time frame as to when I will have it corrected. I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on so you knew where things were headed.

I'll let you know when I'm ignoring you. Not afraid to let you know.
