Ok I cannot get online with my DSL so I had to go back to my dial up. I was on the phone last night for hours with Compaq and got nowhere. My NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller has a red x next to it and no matter what he told me to do it would not fix it.
Does anyone know if there is something I can download off the internet that will fix it or if I need to take it to someone and have it repaired.

The router wasn't working for one, and I think he had to redo my ip address. He didn't get the router to work so we could use the laptop so we went to Walmart to get another one and it's not working either, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that.
So the desktop is working but the laptop not so much. Going to find out though.

Well my router wasn't working so I called the company's automated line and it took me step by step to help me set it up. Now everything is working again.
