They certainly have shown the ability to come from behind and come through in the clutch. Pitching seems to be holding up and the bullpen is doing well. I may have to rethink my initial thoughts about them being a sub-500 team...

I don't watch baseball, but I heard someone say they were 1/2 game out of first. Sounds like they are doing good.

It has always seemed to me for years, that either the astros have great pitching and poor hitting or poor pitching and great hitting, which the later seems to be the problem this year. After the 2005 season we all or at least I still have a little glimmer of hope. But who knows. Maybe now is the time to just sit back, relax and just enoy watching some baseball and if they come back we will appreciate it so much more. (and quit dissing the stros)

ogeezer, it is very disheartening to watch them loose time after time. I started watching the Astros when my family moved to Houston in 1969. My dad worked for Texaco, (remember the Texaco sign in the dome)? so being a sponsor he got free tickets and we got to sit where they served dinner. My mom was glad she didn't have to fix dinner, but for some reason they have stuck with me after all these years. But what else can you do ..but like I said just sit back and watch some baseball.....isn't that what its all about.

alright now ogeezer...think positive. Did you read Chacon was taken out the starting rotation and put in the bullpen? Chacon said it was plain horse###@. My husband seems to think and I kind of do to that Cooper may have about a month left if things don't turn around. Like Coop was the one to sign who signed all the new pitchers..At least I got to see Wheeler rub that ball in his glove.......

Would'nt you know the night I don't have to bed early(6p.m), they're off. Will watch Tuesday night, would rather go, but that's a different story. It seems though that the Astros have a hard time beating the Rangers. It's all in their heads, like it use to be with the Reds
