Was watching WWE tonight and an old show was on. Went to WWE website and found this. Bummer, he was a good wrestler.
Chris Benoit, family found dead
Written: June 25, 2007STAMFORD, Conn., June 25, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment was informed today by authorities in Fayette County, Ga., that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son were found dead in their home. Authorities are investigating, but no other details are available at this time.
Instead of its announced programming for tonight on USA Network, WWE will air a three-hour tribute to Chris Benoit.
Chris was beloved among his fellow Superstars, and was a favorite among WWE fans for his unbelievable athleticism and wrestling ability. He always took great pride in his performance, and always showed respect for the business he loved, for his peers and towards his fans. This is a terrible tragedy and an unbearable loss.
WWE extends its sincere condolences and prayers to the Benoit family and loved ones in this time of tragedy.

It's a damned shame. It reminds me of the VonEric's murders back in the 80's. I hope whomever did this deed to him and his family is found and torn limb from limb. Better yet stick their chicken crap arse in the ring with the WWE wrestlers and let them finish them off.

Murder/suicide
Channel 2 says that Benoit killed his wife and son and then killed himself.

They were saying he had personal problems...didn't show up Sunday for the pay-per-view. The 3 hr. tribute brought back memories of when Owen Hart was killed in front of everyone. So sad!

Wrestling is sick now anyway. I can remember back in the days when it was real wrestling. I refuse to watch it now because of all the drama.
Chris Benoit gets no sympathy from me. His son was only 7! I know it's a sick murder/suicide all in all but anybody that can hurt a child is f*cked up!
If Vince doesn't stop the death angle on himself well I wouldn't be surprised. He's a sick person.

Pink Fluffy House Robe, Foo Foo Slippers... the perfume sprayed all over the ring.. Yep... that was REAL rasslin'!.. My Hero was Pepper Gomez..

I'm still having my doubts as to the events and whom killed whom. Out of all the wrestlers there he seemed the most even keel of the lot. He was either really emotionally imbalanced and good at covering it up or something.

You also have to look at it this way, in the business he is in, it's kinda who you know, and maybe someone he knew was upset with him, and well things happen, it's all a little strange

The text messages they released today that he sent doesn't add up to a he popped his cork and killed them thing. What I saw and read amounted to hey come help I disagree I have a gun to my head. Why else would he tell them his address and the dogs were locked in a certain area and what door was open.
I smell something dirty with this as well. The cops are being too quick to jump on this one. True to form the media has hopped on their smear campaign with no real evidence.

Ya know, I tried watching discussion about it last night. When I read "DA says that boy was killed with chokehold move" I had to change the channel. It makes me sick I hope they uncover something that says he didn't do it, but right now it's not looking very good. Also, it seems they are playing the "steroids" card alot in this. WHY? It is a well known fact that steroids have been used in wrestlers for years. So, at the toughest part of their job, in the ring, i have never seen a wrestler just snap and kill somebody! I know wrestling is entertainment, but I'm sure they get worked up in the ring. If Benoit did do it, I know there had to be more behind it than just steroids... They kept showing pictures of him and his son in the ring. I guess he brought his little boy on tv. There was love there. I don't see how a father could hurt his child, a child that idolized him! He had a statue of his dad (i guess a wrestling figure) by his bed. Ok I have drawn myself too much into this mess and I refuse to watch anymore. Hell, I even started feeling sorry for Paris Hilton....but only for a bit I can't stand her! Media twists minds.

The more I read and hear about it things don't add up in favor of the investigators. The medications and steroids found in his home were prescribed. You don't hear the media rushing to report that. Instead, they have ramped up the steroid angle and have tried to paint him as a rage filled, hate engorged, explosive time bomb. However, the evidence they are trying to twist to their favor for the sake of a quick resolution to the case is continuing not to add up to a murder-suicide. For the stuff you're not hearing on the news about this guy you could always read interviews from those that knew him and his family best.... News and rumors site

from yahoo's website it said that his wikepedia page had been altered BEFORE police recovered the bodies, but the ip was registered in stamford conneticuit... wwe headquarters... which leads me to two conclusions either benoit was really twisted and no one knew it, or someone is behind this and the authorities are wrong on their conclusion.... i think there is more going on than we know... i am with SJ on this one...
