i've been good this week. no big mess ups. i haven't weighed - (don't have a scale) and i haven't exercised. i have thought ALOT about exercising, but just need to get motivated. hopefully, next saturday i will be able to report that i did do some exercise. i wore my pedometer for one day - and i was no where near the 10,000 steps a day they recommend. i barely broke 2000 !!
let's keep this going. if we want to outlive the dark side, we need to be healthly

...ain't quite been working on the weight loss but in a few weeks, while in a foreign country of the Far East, I'll undoubtedly lose the pounds I'm not shedding over here, and hopefully without getting a doze of dysentry in the process. We'll see...

This weight-loss thing is a lot harder on the weekends.

No doubt, wrangler, lol. But I've been good today...1 banana for breakfast; turkey sandwich on whole wheat (with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a smidge of mayo), and a banana for lunch; and...oh, well, I guess I haven't been that good...just had a cup of egg nog, lol.

Somebody smack me! I just realized that part of my tuition pays for "membership" to the campus fitness center...duh! They also have "free" classes...that means we've all paid for them out the wazoo already and just didn't know it. I definitely have to look into those!

Ok, 2 cups of coffee with sugar and milk for breakfast. I know, bad...but sometimes I just skip breakfast. Lunch was a turkey sandwich on wheat bread, little mayo. So far, so good. It's the hunger pains that bother me towards 4pm...

When you have hungry pains, can't you eat an orange or some grapefruit? A banana is a good pick-me-up...or some Voortman's Sugarless Cookies? or some No Fat Frozen Yogurt? a chunk of fresh pineapple? some triscuits? (they're high in fibre).. a diet Coke with a fresh sliced wedge of lime or lemon to kill the nasty sweetner aftertaste and load up with vitamin C for the cold and flu season..?

as I posted earlier, I am doing Weight Watchers on my own. Bought the kit online, don't go to meetings. My favorite snack is the Pop Secret 100 cal bags of popcorn. Another plus of being on WW is that a baked potato is very low in points. I buy the Smart Squeez butter at HEB, which even fools my family. Go to the Weight Watchers web site, you can pick up some good info without joining.

Thanks czechers! I must have missed your post earlier. I'll have to check it out. And don't forget...if the popcorn is not buttery enough, add Parkay butter spray...0 calories!

I really need to buy a scale...but I'm quite sure I've not lost anything since I've managed to sabotage the whole thing a couple of times. Like yesterday...I was in such a hurry that I ran to McDonald's on the way home from TJs appointment...probably one of the worst thing I could've done. Oh, well, today's another day.

this is what I like about Weight Watchers, sugarbaby. A kid's meal at McDonalds actually fits into your day's points (with a diet soda or unsweetened tea). Depending on how many points you have to "spend" in a day, it may be half of the points, but that is easy to overcome with something like oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, fruit for snacks, and a sensible supper. Before, I would eat something I considered "bad" and then just eat everything in site thinking that I had already blown it, I may as well. For instance, most candy bars are 6 points. On a day that I REALLY want a candy bar, I can have it for lunch with a piece of fruit and not feel guilty. Now, I know that's not really a healthy meal, and I don't do it all the time, but it is nice to be able to feel like you are cheating when you really are not.

Fair enough, czechers. I actually kinda like that idea. However, what I'm *trying to do is what I did a few years back...I lost 65 lbs. in about 3-4 months. I could've lost more, but, of course, I hurled myself off that wagon, lol. This is what worked for me, and all I have to do is make the conscious decision that, yes, this is what I'm going to do, KWIM? I know I can do this, it's really not that hard...I just seem to be himhawing around instead of throwing myself into it like I did last time...guess we'll see what happens, lol!

Ok ppl....lets check in with some words of inspiration....how yall doing out there? Hanging in there? Remember, it's not a day to day thing, but a goal. If you fail, pick yourself right back up, a few days of failing won't stop you from your three month goal! As long as you're trying to eat healthier than you had been previously, that's a winner in my book!

Wednesday .. weigh in .. lost 1 and 1/2 more pounds .. yeah!!!!! The only think I have done different is ask myself if I really really want to eat what ever it is, whether it is a peice of pie, bread .. whatever. I might be getting a tiny bit more movement out of life, but I cant figure out how. If I could loose 1 pound per week .. I would reach my goal by this time next year. It took a heck of a lot longer than that to put it on, that is the good part. So .. I will keep asking the hard questions and hope I get the right answers from myself.
