Thanks stargazer, there is just sheetrock on the walls were we put the tile. We had formica countertops also, we took it all out and put the prefab countertops in it's place. If you go to Home Depot or Lowe's and get the ones that they have in the store it is way cheaper than if you order from the book. They usually have a good variety of nice looking countertops in the store.

Yeah, I plan on going to Lowes one day this week and spending the whole day there...lol! Meanwhile, I got wall paper to remove in the bath and kitchen...ugh!

Yeah, I plan on going to Lowes one day this week and spending the whole day there...lol! Meanwhile, I got wall paper to remove in the bath and kitchen...ugh! they have some stuff you can buy to help remove old wallpaper... or you can use a hand held steamer to remove it... in the bathroom you can sometimes shut the door and just turn on the hot water in the shower and create steam and it peels off faster...

I think it's called Diff, itchy...I do plan on using it. The wallpaper has been stuck on the wall for 27 yrs. so I hope it works!

One wall is ok, like an accent wall. I guess it also depends on the pattern. Loud patterns in a small area is not good.

I finally got back to working on the bar area, now all I have to do is grout around the edge. Also the pic makes it look washed out a bit, but it's alot prettier in person.
